Les,
You can explore all of the keys on your Braille display by toggling on
keyboard help (Insert+ numbers row 1). This will allow you to press any of
the keys on your display at random, and get a help message read to you for
any given key. Here I think you will discover several functions of your
display including the one you asked about. I hope this helps.
