Hi Guys,

I have found a fix for the problem of the apollo2 not speaking numbers as
groups in jfw 3.3.

Follow the steps below:

1. back up the file jfw33\jfw.ini, just incase you need to go back to the
original.
2. open jfw33\jfw.ini.
4. in the synthesiser section, comment out any of the lines that refer to
the apollo2 by placing a semi colon at the start of the line.
5. now paste in the lines from your jfw32\jfw.ini file, that refer to the
apollo2.
your (synthesiser) section should appear something like this?

[Synthesizers]
Synth1Name=eloq
Synth1LongName=Eloquence for JFW
Synth1Port=
Synth1Driver=eloq
;Synth2Name=apollo2
;Synth2LongName=Apollo 2
;Synth2Port=com1:9600,n,8,1
;Synth2Driver=Apollo2
Synth2Name=dolser2
Synth2LongName=Apollo 2
Synth2Port=COM1
Synth2Driver=SSIL
Synth3Name=MSSpeech
Synth3LongName=Microsoft Text-to-Speech Engine
Synth3Port=
Synth3Driver=MSSpeech
Synth4Name=nospeech
Synth4LongName=No Speech
Synth4Port=UNKNOWNUNKNOWN
Synth4Driver=nospeech

6. copy the file dolser2.dll from your jfw32 directory to your jfw33
directory.
7. copy all the files that have the extention ".num" from your jfw32
directory to your jfw33 directory.
8. now restart jfw 33 and numbers should be spoken fine.

Cheers,

Tim
