IE 5 off of jfw disk

When you install IE 5 off the jfw disk over IE 4, does it pick up all of
your settings, or do you have to go through and configure it all over
again?  The reason that I asked, I noticed that when I bring up IE 5, it is
different than it use to be.  When I use to bring up IE 4.1 or whatever it
was, it use to automatically go on line.  Now, when I bring it up, it comes
up, and I have to tab to earthlink, and press enter before going on line.
