One thing that I have to do on my system in order to get the MS speech
engine to work properly is, whenever I change voices I have to restart Jaws.
If I don't it will crash all over the place! Other than that it seems to
work all right although I think Eloquence seems to perform a little better.

Last night, when we had the new naughty word fiasco, I installed the
Microsoft Speech that came on my jfw CD.
I thought it was terrible.
Especially annoying was the fact that it didn't seem to index it's words at
all.
Is this true? or did I get a bad install?
I ask because I can't believe a speech system could be as bad as that one
was. Maybe someone out there is a proponent of this speech system and could
tell me how to improve it.
