Joel,
This used to happen to me periodically but does not any longer.
Using OE4, I need to download all from my service provider whenever I want the next
batch of messages to come into my inbox.
When the process is finished, nothing seems to be happening so I disconnect from teh
Isp.
This prvents the Isp from completing the download process & so the next time I
download another batch, I get the same messages a second time.
I now force myself to patiently wait for the process to speak ... signaling the
updating of the Isp wheels.
I haven't gotten repeats since I began this patience.
Perhaps this is your solution also.
I have nothing else to offer.

Can someone explain why several copies of the same messages are being sent?
I have been getting two to three copies of the same messages with the same
