I did have the messages which I believe answer my following concerns but,
someone must have eaten them.
On my laptop, all messages speak fine while in the inbox when arrowing
through them as they do on my work computer. Both have 64MB ram and are
32MHZ.
On both computers, if I press ctrl-D while in the message body, sometimes
(not all the time), the message just read will repeat itself and, if I let
things go on long enough, the new subsequent message will be read.
Presently, if I press escape, the next message will indeed appear and I can
then open it and read away.
I blush to say that I have not yet learn the scripting language but though I
saw something about increasing a delay somewhere.
On the "regular" (non-laptop) computer, if I use ctrl-D while browsing the
message list, the next message will not be read while my laptop functions
fine in this regard.
Since the solution has appeared on the list before, and I was stupid enough
to not keep it, the script doctors might wish to answer this one privately.
Thanks for all your cards and letters
