There was an update to Internet Explorer 5 posted by Microsoft on May 7. They report that the fix addresses problems with partially loaded web pages possibly due to pauses in the http stream. I believe I have been affected by this problem on several occasions, most notably when dealing with my bank's slow site and on other secure sites. The URL for the Microsoft article describing the details is: http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q226/5/50.asp The article will tell you which versions of IE5 need the fix. If you have Win98 SE you may not apply the patch. To download the patch go to: http://support.microsoft.com/support/downloads/LNP575.asp Choose the appropriate language. Note that the English language download is the file with no two letter language identifier characters before the filename (which by the way is 3725.exe). - Visit the jfw ml web page: http://jfw.cjb.net
