A couple of things: com ports 2 and 4 use the same irq. So you can't use them both at the same time. 2. Don't fib to your JFW. if you aren't using a devicde, don't tell him you are. He tries very hard to do what you tell him--and, being a guy, can't ask for further instructions when he gets befuddled. all he can do is crash, poor thing! 3.
