Maybe this is a rather inane response, but, have you run Dr. Jaws?  I've
found that usually a visit to the Doctor is more like a visit to the
proctologist than a visit to Dr. Killdaire.  But, occasionally he will do
some needed repairs and little problems go away.  Anyway, it's worth a
chance.
