and report this behaviour.
I noticed this with the Apollo2 synth and the new apollo2.jls driver.
I had to go back to the old apollo2 sill.

this may not make a difference but have you changed how punctuation is
controlled? I find it to work quite well with most if not all synths
if I have it set to be controlled by the synthesizer.
