I'm not sure what David means in his message, but a couple of items I've
encountered in explorer, and it may carry over to other tree views, is to
make sure you have "show folders as web pages" unselected in the options
menu.
I also had a problem the other day where I could not get into the files
section of an explorer display (usually I use the tab key to accomplish
this).  Someone with sight took one look at my desktop and said "oh, you
need to move your explorer over" and did it with the mouse.  I don't think I
could have done it with jfw, but explorer worked after that.
These are just a couple of tips I've found.  I don't know if they answered
your question or not.
