Greetings from Ireland. The programs you deleted probably had their own
uninstallers which you
didn't use. As for the missing shortcuts, perhaps you could go into the
Taskbar Properties Advanced page under Settings - from the Start Menu press
<s> then <T> - (<ControlTab>) where the shortcut or
missing program is listed
(press <tab> twice) and go to the "remove" button (that is,it will remove
the shortcut from the Start Menu). If you want to do things the easy way,
just reinstall the program(s) and then uninstall them if they have their
own uninstall which will do so automatically, or custom, or it will tell
you in a dialog. Otherwise, you'd have to use Powertoy.exe or RegCklean,
but I've never done that.

: Hi list people. I have two questions acutally they are the same for both.
I
: deleted two chat programs completely or so I thought. Now when I start
: windos I get a "windos is searching for the shortcut" How can I delete
them?
: Another question is how do I delete a program from a listview. When I
click
: on a file and am asked what program I want there is at least one I don't
: need in that list. Can anyone make sense of this?
: Thanks.
