While in MS Word MS Office97 you can check your cursor position using jfw
with insert+delete key on the numpad or insert+page down key to read the
status line. Due to a bug in Microsoft Word it does not work when you use
the tab key, since the line reports actual key strokes instead of the actual
position of the PC cursor.
I do not know if this MS bug was fixed in Windows98, but it definitely still
exists in Windows95.
Hope this helps.
