I can only comment based on my own experience.
I use an IBM Thinkpad 1418 model (Pentium MMX at 300 MHZ) with 96 MB of RAM.
JFW 3.2.31 works very well with Win 98 on this machine, sometimes JFW believes the
Insert key is still down while it is
actually not, so I have to press it quickly twice, but except for that it works well.
The keyboard on this machine is very good compared to what I've seen so far on Toshiba
laptops etc, but if you plan to
use a software synthesizer such as Eloquence, you really need to put more memory : 64
MB is fine, 96 MB is just perfect
at this time with any application including Office 97.
