I wanted o give you all just a quick update on accessibility issues and
TurboTax with JFW or any other screen reader, for that matter.
As you know, I sent a message yesterday to the product manager of TurboTax
which I carbon copied to the List, to Eric at Henter-Joyce and to Charlie
Crawford of the American Council of the Blind. I also sent a copy to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] My message was forwarded to a Mr. Bob Meighan, who
apparently is now the new product manager for TurboTax. He has assured me
that he will do everything he can to improve accessibility to TurboTax for
us. He is willing to investigate MSAA and other avenues. I have sent him a
list of accessibility criteria which can be used to ensure better
accessibility. He has been in contact with me both by e-mail and by phone,
so I think he is sincere in his efforts. Time will tell, though.
George Marshall, I've lost your e-mail address. Could you send me a message
as I need to communicate with you on this since you and I and others have
been the ones who have really been pushing Intuit on this issue.
I'll keep you all posted as things develop.
Thanks.
Michael
