Hi, You could do it either way. I cannot advise you on the exact parameters for altering the jfw.ini file. Because syntaxs demands preciseness, I'd likely do a custom install. Make certain you choose any speech synthesizers prior to choosing the Braille Lite 2000, because I don't think JFW retains your original settings. In this way, you treat it as a new install. I don't think you have to be concerned about anything during a custom install. I've done custom installs, and it's straight forward. Enjoy your new unit.
