I sincerely hope HJ staff are monitoring this list to get the most out of
the public beta process. In the hope that they are, here are some
observations and suggestions.
IE 5 access is really fast. Nice job. Some keys that I would expect would
allow me to navigate a web page with the virtual cursor appear not to work
for me. The control+home and control+end keys appear not to take me to the
top and bottom of a web page respectively. I have my JFW set up to
distinguish the number pad from the stand-alone arrow keys, and I think the
page up and page down keys move me through the page with the virtual cursor
on the number pad but not with the cursor pad. I guess this could be
considered a feature, but the stand-alone page-down appears to do nothing.
Also, the search feature doesn't work in a manner that I would expect.
Given that JFW presumably has a snapshot of the entire web page, would it
be possible for the control+insert+f command to find text anywhere on the
web page. This is a feature of Windoweyes that I use all the time on the
web and it speed surfing up considerably.
Finally, a command that lets you find the next element that is different
from the one that has focus would be nice. This command would allow a user
to skip past a set of links commonly found at the top of each page so that
they can get to the text unique to the page.
