You probably were either replying to an message formatted in HTML or
you do not have plain text messages enabled.

Hi,
I was having a weird problem with the jaws beta and outlook 98. I'd
be
typing a message and my speaking of characters would stop as I typed
and
when I pressed backspace, I'd get kicked out of my message. I'd have
to
move my message to drafts in order to edit it. I had not realized
when you
go into outlook, the virtual pc cursor is on. I think by turning it
off in
outlook, it functions normally.
