A few things
I'd like people who are writing messages on the jfw list to remember that
this is a mailing list for help with jfw specific problems. Not messages
on how do I use such and such a web page. How do I use my email program,
etc etc.
As long as your problem has something to do with jfw, its ok.
I know some people will say, well all my problems have something to do
with jfw. I use it all the time.
try and decide before sending a message if it is a problem your having
with jfw, or a problem you are having with an application it self.
If its a problem with the application, its not on topic.
The jfw list can't be a one stop answer all questions group. If it were,
it wouldn't be called jfw.
due to the availability of the free mailing list providers, egroups.com
and onelist.com, there are many, many mailing lists for other non-jfw
related questions. Please use them.

The second thing, subject lines, Make sure that your subject line reflects
the contents of your messages. If your replying to a message, make sure
the subject line is changed to reflect the new contents of the message you
are writing.
A lot of people simply read the subject line to find messages that are
relevant to their interests. If the subject line doesn't match the actual
message you are losing the very people you want to read your messages.
Please people, stick to the topic of this mailing list and make every ones
day a lot easier.
