This is due to the Virtual PC cursor being active as a default.  You must 
toggle it off [Insert]+[Z] to get the page to read normally.  This cursor 
is toggled back on automatically when you leave one web page to go to 
another.  I really don't like that functionality of the Virtual PC 
cursor.  I find myself wanting to use the old method of reading web pages, 
instead of the V-PC cursor one.
