Hi Ted,
There's a bug which goes way back with Textbridge and JAWS and I haven't
been notified that it's actually fixed. For some people, when they tried
to use Textbridge from Word, JAWS appeared to crash. The workaround was to
unload JAWS until you'd loaded Textbridge. You may like to try this if you
haven't already done so.
If you find this is the problem then I'd be grateful if you'd contact HJ
and be sure you refer to my bug report which was acknowledged by HJ way
back in December of 98. It was logged by HJ as Case 723 - yes, some
considerable time ago. (See HJ's response at the end of this message.)
If your findings are not the same then you may still need to write to HJ if
you consider that it is an issue with JAWS.

Synopsis: JFW32 won%t read the dialogue boxes prior to scanning in

This case has a current status of New Entry in the escalation system. This
status indicates we are attempting to isolate/define the conditions which
cause the problem.
Henter-Joyce will continue to provide status information about this case on
a regular basis until its final disposition.
