Hi, there friend! I thought you and everyone else would be interested in my
recent experiences with JFW and Textbridge. I also had the same problems
you were experiencing with JFW crashing using Textbridge Pro 98 and JFW 3.2
and 3.3. Just for grins, I upgraded to TextBridge 9.0 by purchasing the
upgrade online and downloading it and installing it. Note that before
installing TB 9.0 I uninstalled the older TB 98 as directed by the 9.0
installation. Also as directed, I rebooted my computer. After this I ran
the Instant Access Control panel and added MS Word among other things.
I then went into Word and scanned a document into it. For the first
time I was able to read the document without JAWS crashing!! I am using
Office 97, Textbridge 9.0 and my HP 6250 scanner. I have not yet tried
using TB 9.0 with any release candidates, but all seems to work with JFW
3.3.26.
Thanks, hope this helps you or someone else.
Carol, please be on the look out for private e-mail from me soon or
write back yourself if you like, my e-mail is still the same though I'm
moved out on my own now.
