Acrobat 4.0 and blank screens?

Hello Listers
In using Acrobat 4.0 to read PDF files, I am only getting a blank
screen?  The Acrobat 4.0 opens, but I can not read the screen with my
JFW 3.3.026.

Any suggestions or ideas would be welcomed!
