Hi Tracy,
Actually, you bring up a vitally important general issue when it comes to access to
employment by the blind. It is my firm conviction
that, as long as the software used by business is so screen reader unfriendly that
hundreds of programming hours are required to
make it accessible, the plight of our people will not improve. The majority sighted
society simply does not seem to be willing to
allocate sufficient resources to tackle this kind of problem in any sort of serious
manner that will benefit a substantial number of
blind people. Instead, these kinds of projects are only persued in a piecemeal manner
that benefits only a miniscule number of
individuals. It is a real shame.
