I have not tried the beta for several reasons, but, I hear it is
sluggish in Office 97 products. I work almost exclusively in Word 97,
and, find this unacceptable, I need fast access, no sluggish cursor or
menus, I already switched from the Eloquence synthesizer back to a
Double talk on our network because JFW 3.326 was running sluggishly.
Will there be a patch to address these issues? I can tell my employer
not to bother with the upgrade--except, once issues have been worked
out I am supposed to have Internet access!Switching to Office 2000 is
not an option at work.
