Rose, I am not an extensive user of office, however, even with my casual use
of word, I can confirm that what you have heard is definitely true! Word
seems to function ok, however, when accessing the pulldown menus, although
it works, it is substantially slower than 3.30.26. Since I only casually use
MS office 97, it isn't a real big issue to me, however, if someone uses it
extensively, then, yes, it is! I have the most recent version, they have
defintiely improved functionality to IE and even OE5 greatly, however, in
the process, for whatever reasons, it did cause performance in the Office 97
menus to become much more sluggish. I have no idea how these different
functions possible relate, however, they obviously do!
