Hello, Frederic. If you just want to read the presentation and not edit it,
I find that choosing Outline from the view menu removes the annoying
graphics that get in the way of reading. This makes the presentation appear
in rich text document, so you can then save it from the file menu and/or
copy and paste it into a Word document.
As for editing inside shapes and images, you must ungroup these because
you are creating vector graphics.. When sighted people edit these files
they too must ungroup them to bring them back into bit map format, and then
regroup them again. PowerPoint only handles one bit map image at a time
unless you regroup them.

I h ave found it most helpful to use the automatic layout settings when
doing a new slide. If you are making your own presentations or editing
those of others, if you choose the slide layouts that say, for example,
"Text and Clipart" this means the text appears on the left side and the
picture appears on the right. You can then use the JFW commands and the
powerpoint keyboard commands to tab or simulate a mouse click on the title,
sub title if there is one, or it will say "double click to add clipart"
which brings up the clipart galery. If you choose Text and two objects for
example as a slide choice, use the jaws cursor to find where it says double
click to add object and your cursor will be placed in the proper position
once you press enter after selecting the proper clipart or other object.
This is not an easy program to use, there is much about it I still don't
know. Please write me privately if I can help further.
