It's supposed to take scripts, graphics label files, etc., all the
config files from a previous installation and integrate them into the
new installation. If your new install's files are dated later than
your old one's, it keeps the new ones; if vice versa, it keeps the
ones from the previous installation; a third possible case is, it
combines the two sets into one aggregate set.
