I doubt this is a virus issue either so I hope you are correct in your
statement that there is no shield against viruses running. I've sen
this problem get fixed by making sure that all the temporary folders
and run documents are cleared so you may want to try that. if that
doesn't work, see if you can upgrade your windows installer. there
may be some problem with it. also, I think there was a bug in one of
the jfw installers that caused this to happen to some people on some
systems with 3.3.
