Thank you Listers,
Got it going with the USB port, found the listserv and by deleting the
pixdflt.dll file from the Windows folder even got the scanner to read to me.
Keeping this JFW related, I kept tripping over the different key usage and
probably will for a while and of course, there were three problems which
required correction, would have taken weeks to sort out without your help.
