To find the word count and some other information about a MS Word document that you may have created in MS Office97 do the following: 1. While in your MS Word document find the word count option by alt+t,w, and you will go to your tools menu and then you will be placed into the word count. 2. You will get a box saying close and a tab will ask if you wish to include footnotes, legends, etc. Pay this box no attention, but to use it as a cue for you to turn on your jaws cursor - on your numpad. In fact you need not tab at all. Just use the close button as a cue to switch to your jaws cursor. 3. Go to top of page with jaws cursor, not the PC cursor, and arrow down one line at a time until you find the information you seek. 4. Now switch back to the jfw PC cursor with + on the numpad and you will be probably on the close button. Press enter and you should be placed back into the document where you were when you asked for or invoked the word count program via the tools menu. In this case making jfw read the information needed requires the knowledge of when to switch from the jfw PC cursor to the jaws cursor and visa versa. Hope this helps.
