Hi Pat,
I visited that site with the same results as Chris from HJ. I had no
trouble reading the full articles. I even read one, hit ALT-LEFTARROW
to go back and was able to arrow down to the other articles which I
could also read. this is using the virtual cursor.
While reading messages on this topic which you've posted in other
threads, it seems that the problem is a conceptual one. In your
messages, you seem to interchange the terms "screen" and "page." You
must understand that with the virtual cursor, there are not multiple
screens. The entire web page is virtual and not necessarily visible
on the screen.
Activating a link to another web page is done the same as it has
always been done -- with the enter key by focusing on the link and
hitting enter.
Now, I may be interpreting your comments incorrectly, but it seems
that you are seeking a way to skip over the myriad links that many web
sites place at the top of their pages. HJ has fortunately implemented
a handy little hotkey for this purpose. Try using the INSERT-ENTER
key combination. I've found that in many cases one must hit this key
combination twice to actually get to the meat of the article, but it
does help one quickly skip over the multitude of links at the
beginning of a web page. Hitting this key combination twice on the
CNN articles worked quite well for me.
Good luck -- I hope it works for you too.
