And JFW has a proprietary version of Dectalk Access32, which won't work with
WindowEyes, etc., whereas the standard version of Access32 may work with
JFW.

Subject: Re: Difference between DecTalk Access32 and DecTalk PC?

: Hello Harry,
:
: The DecTalk PC is an internal card, the DecTalk Express is an external
: synthesizer that connects to a serial port, and the Dec-Access32 is the
: DecTalk speech that uses the system's existing sound card for the
: hardware-side of the synthesizer.
: So the PC and Express are hardware synthesizers, and the Access32 is a
: software synthesizer.
:
: Thanks,
