I just start backspacing--one backspace will do it--then I type in my
changed word.
I've got a really puzzling, and damned annoying, problem that isn't related
to speech, except in the text I'm using! When I type happily along on my
Morse code keyer, hitting the CapsLock, or the Shift key, when typing all
caps, such as "JFW", it is a hassle. What I do is just type it in
lower-case, and let the Spell-check replace it. Ever since upgrading to
Office2000, the spell check finds that word, flags it as not found in
dictionary, and suggests several replacements--"JFW" isn't among the three
or four suggestions! I put it in my custom dictionary, but it still will
not show up in the suggestions, even though other words in that same
dictionary file does!
Office97 did just fine, but not 2000!
