I'm not sure what you are refering to as the start menu in windows
explorer, but yes, you can go to windows explorer and find the .lnk
file that way. you'd have to go:
from root to windows to startmenu to programs to jfw for instance and
there are the shortcuts for jfw. go to properties with say jaws
highlighted that's jaws.lnk and then you can creat a hot key or move
the shortcut. the same process works for creating shortcuts except
that to creat a shortcut, you find the .exe file associated with the
program you want to creat a short cut to and press alt and arrow up or
down to creat shortcut and press enter. if you don't like where that
shortcut ends up, you can move it or copy it to another location if
you like.
