He there,
for a poor quality fax what programme do you think gives the best rhesus
between winfax or Omnipage 8.0?
Are there any other programmes for fax besides winfax running with jhaws?
Winfax is a bit heavy, I've been told so!!

I now use Omnipage 9. I find the quality to be very good. Version 10 is
supposed to be even better.
Scanning faxes can be a problem. If the quality of the fax is poor, the
software will not help. You will find that even under the best of
conditions, some parts of the fax may be difficult to read -- such as
numbers.
An alternative is Win fax. I received faxes on win fax and then have them
converted by the OCR feature in that program. This works quite well.
Again, it works less well with a bad quality incoming fax.
