Does this happen at any time when selecting text or is it with a particular
block of text? I ask this because it may be some of those knotty words
which plague eloquence. This is precisely how my computer behaves when
eloquence runs into something it doesn't like. There is something in the
Outlook Express Local Files menu, don't know what it is, but when I arrow up
past Inbox to local folders open, one can tab or perhaps ctrl-tab I just
forget and I am not going to discover it just this minute, but it hits
something and the timebomb begins. Reset is the only answer. It is the
same behaviour as when one of those bad words comes up. Perhaps you have
one of those bad words in the block of text you are highlighting.
As for the dialer, I occasionally have that trouble but usually I can cancel
and start again. I use Outlook Express though but the dialer is the
operating system one, I would guess the same in your e-mail programme. It
only occasionally happens and I don't know why but I think it may have
something to do with the ISP, not JFW but I don't have a good reason for
that suspician. I have not found a way to be able to view the login process
in progress, that is to see what the ISP sends and what my computer replies,
the script was supplied and looks like a foreign language, takes minutes to
connect compared to old DOS Nettamer, I se no reason for all the extra stuff
so my guess is that something just gets out of synk.
