Ok Stephen, Since you insist on putting your foot in your mouth without
checking your facts first I'll quote you something from one of the jfw
manuals which relates to this very subject. I draw your attention to the
Author~1.doc file in your manuals\enu directory under the main jfw directory.
Begin quote:
NOTE: The use of defragmenting utility programs may damage Authorization
Keys. You should take precautions when using these utilities or when
performing any type of hard drive maintenance. You might want to move your
Authorization Key from your hard drive to the original Authorization disk
before doing any maintenance for safe keeping. You can also check the
preferences on the utility program and see if you can configure it to not
move hidden files. By doing this, it should make it safe to run your
utility program with the Authorization Key installed.
End Quote
If you forgot to do something as simple as protect your authorization then
you've only got yourself to blame if you lost a key. There's no point in
getting annoyed at HJ for your mistakes. Maybe next time this will teach
you to get off your arse, read the supplied documentation and learn how to
use your software before you jump in and destroy it.
I have had no problems with authorization keys with both Ms Defrag or
Norton speedisk. If you still want to crack the authorization scheme, go
right ahead. I'd be interested to hear your results.
Since you're no longer doing any business with HJ, can we also assume you
won't be on this list any more? I certainly hope so.
Seeya later!
