Today I tried to set up a mail filter in Outlook Express 5. To my big surprise the
dialog that enables you to set up filter rules that will sort mails by a specific
creteria and pperform an action on the mail is very much different from oe4. In oe4
the add new rule dialog was made up of many check boxes and a few buttons. The dialog
with the same function in oe5 is made up by only 4 controls, 2 list boxes and 2 edit
fields. In the 2 list boxes you can decide the creteria for the rule and the action
that will result when a mail matches the creteria. I have tried to celect a creteria
and an action but my celections are not recognized by oe5. When I press ok I get a
dialog saying that I must celect a creteria and an action. Have I overlooked something
here? or has MS just like so many times before created another inaccessable part of a
MS application?
