I realise this is obviously something specific to my system, but ever since
3.31 I have been unable to use run JAWS first, which I need to do so I can
log into a network.

Both JFW 3.31 and JFW 3.5 come up at the log-on prompt, however when I
enter my user ID and password, after Windows makes its startup sound, JFW
speaks the word "desktop" and then the machine locks up tight. I can't even
reset with a couple of presses of the control-alt-del combination.

Just as an experiment, I tried putting JFW in the system tray and did
everything again. This time, JFW didn't speak the word desktop before the
computer locked up, and the lock-up happened in about the same place.
Luckily I am able to get out of this sticky situation by exiting JFW after
I enter my log-in information and before pressing ENTER, so that I can then
run JFW again and turn run JAWS first off.

The Windowyes load before startup option works just fine so there is
definitely some clash between JFW and something on this system.
