Greetings Everyone As a person who uses Jaws exclusively with a braille display (with only the occasional foray into Eloqeunce), I must admit to continuing disappointment with the betas that HJ releases. To mention three points in relation to the new JFW3.5 beta: the cursor routing buttons still do not work in virtualcursor mode; the panright function still does not work properly in some applications (it worked fine in 3.3, but hasn't worked properly since), and there is a lot of "chatter" on the braille display in some web pages, which was not there in previous versions. My disappointment arises from the fact that at least two of these problems have been reported to HJ on a number of occasions, but it's as if our reports are being absorbed into a black hole. While braille displays are expensive, and so not as widely-used as speech, braille does, in my view, provide an efficient and effective way of using Windows applications. I and others continue to report braille-related problems to HJ, and although the new version has a lot of potential with some exciting new features, I can't help feeling that there is a case for consolidating and streamlining what is already there, before embarking on an ambitious campaign of enhancements. I would be interested in comments from other braille users on the new beta By the way, there seems to be a prooblem with the HJ servers at the moment: all email is being returned undeliverable, and the web page is down.
