Dear Sudesh Your concern for the people of Jharkhand is worth consideration of all of us. Before the creation of Jharkhand aspiration of the people were raised to high level of expectancy of good life when Jharkhand comes in to existence. All their hopes were belied as th successive Govts were hijacked by selfish rich and unscrupulous leaders. Such is the magnitude of betrayal of poor that they are left with no option but to take to armed struggle to redress the injustice being heaped o them day in and out .Large number of Jharkhandis between the age group of 15 and 35 are unemployed with nothing to look up to. The rich and politicians are busy amassing wealth and acquiring the land of the poor tribal which is the only source of their livelihood.Under these circumstances i am not surprised if the poor are taking up Naxalism as the solution to their exploitation and betrayal of their hopes by the politicians. The only hope , i see is if the civil society comes forward honestly and intervene in the process of development to cater to the basic needs of the people.
