The protest rally (Dhikkar Michil) against the
Adivasi Massacre on 24 th Nov 2007 in Assam was held on 15th Dec 2007, in which
more than 6000 people both Adivasi & non-adivasi were present. They started
around 1:00 p.m at College Square & end in Rani Rashmoni Road at around 3:00
p.m The important personalities present over there were Mr. Sukchand Kisku, Mr.
Sarada Prasad Kisku, Dr. Anand Besra, Mr. Nityananda Hembram, Mr. Biswambar
Mura, Mr. Debabrata Sinha, Mr. Kolendranath Mandi, Mr. Sukhchand Soren, Mr.
Dilip Hembram, Mr. Lawrence Hembram & others...They addressed the rally. Five
members team from this rally went to meet the governor Mr. Gopal Krishna Gandhi
& submitted the Memorandum.
Many Adivasi organisation of West Bengal
joined this rally under the banner of Adivasi Sanyukt Manch, Santal Engg
Students' Association SESA was one of them.....Photographs will show you more
