At least Vanvasi is better then Tribals , but you are right Adivasi is better than Vanvasi. However I do not consider?the Adivasis to be different?from myself. I consider them as Bharatiyas just as I am or all of us are. My close Adivasi friends identify themselves as Vanvasi as opposed to Nagarvasis, just to make the distinction between them. But in the Ramayan Shree Rama addresses them as both Vanvasi, simply because they are forest dwellers, and also as Adivasi, the first dwellers of Bharat.
