I agree with you on this - conversions done thru greed or coercion should be
made illegal- and that the harvesting of souls by evangelicals should be
banned by law. However, at the same time, the reconversion dramas of VHP and
other Sangh parivar bodies (based mostly on intimidation or bribery) should
be banned, and the insidious role of these organizations in tribal areas
should be inquired into. I am concerned about the cultural imperialism of
the mainstream Hindutva forces in tribal areas, and strong and organized
attempts to incorporate/brainwash tribals into forgetting their own
cultures.

One may also consider that many dalits have converted to christianity
because of caste based discrimination and economic domination by the upper
castes. We also need to address the questions of such exploitation.
