Dear Anti Hindutvavadi Nachiketaji ( this seems an appropriate address for you)

Hindu Nationalists are neither Rightwind nor Left, they are deffinitely not
wrong. They take their inspiration from Agastiya, Rishabh, Rama, Krishna,
Chanakya, Adi Shankaracharya, Ras Khan the poet, Buddha, Mahavir, Guru Nanak,
Rana Pratap, Chhtrapati Shivaji, Guru Govind Singh, Jhansi Ki Rani, Padmavati
Rani, Durgavati Rani, Maharaj Ranjit Singh, Swami Vivekanand, Bhagat Singh,
Madanlala Dhingra, Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Bose, Veer Savarkar, Tilak, Ravindra
Tagore, Sister Nivedita, and many more who have given the identity to the
Nation of Bharat.

If we Hindutvavadis take inspiration from the above, then by your definition,
all the above are right wing and dangerous to the Nation, and they are all to
be condemned for their RIGHT WING activities.

Dhanyavaad

Dear Hindutvavadis (if you don't mind my using that term for you),

I completely agree that anyone who used violence to subvert our constitution
are to be completely condemned. So I condemn the Maoists for taking the path of
violence absolutely and totally. More so because they provide the space for the
rightwing forces to tar all progressives as maoists, terrorists and extremists.

I do think that Hindutva poses a greater threat to Indian nationhood and Indian
constitution - both because it is like a cancer in the body politic and because
it is so good at camouflaging itself. The maoists are but children in front of
the rightwing fundamentalism. Compare the space and legitimacy the Bajrang Dal
enjoys in India - are they any less violent then maoists with non-hindus. Yes
these forces don't need to fight the state- because they are taking it from
within - as right wing always does - through coup or politics. Hitler was
selected through democratic processes too.

Democracy is a fragile political system.

Regards

Nachiketa

Dear Nachiketaji

What is your take - are you sympathetic to the Maoist Cause who want to
dismember the Indian Nation?

So V, anyone who talks about Hindu fundamentalism is going to be branded as a
Maoist. Good strategy.

But in my own views it is really difficult to say which is a greater danger to
Indian State and our Constitution - the Maoists (from the left) or the
hindutvavadis (from the right).

Shri Nachiketa-ji

?

Neither your view nor mine view important.? I think the police, military
intelligence agencies, do make fair assessment. I would put my trust on them
more than on vote bank blinded politicians,?hidden agenda driven human rights
organizations/NGOs or for that matter rabble rousing internet activists.

?

I would accord more intelligence to the aam aadmi, and they they will be able
to figure out the difference between empty rhetoric and serious threat to
Indian nationhood posed by Maoists and their supporters.
