Venkat, it is not true that workers anywhere in TN get Rs 80 for half days' work - in North Arcot, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Dharmapuri workers get around Rs 25 and women not over Rs 15 for a full days' agricultural work. Prabir By the way we are discussing Jharkhand- where there is more equality between men and women, but lower agricultural wages than that for TN men. Industrial pay is higher of course and is a bigger factor in parts of Jharkhand.
