Senthil, Thanks for Dharampal's book Beautiful Tree. I have a hard copy that I got from PPST many years ago. His writing on indigeneous education and health and the data on how the British used the differences in society are very interesting. Am really happy to get a soft copy. Those who do not know will be interested to know that Dharampal was basically a Gandhian and did a lot of historical research on indigeneous systems. Some of Senthil's friends also admire him. I feel that everybody should try to read this book- because it questions the history books, while using the records available in English at government and British libraries.
