Dear Satish,

Very Good initiatives. Could you let us know how you will train and manage the
use of the laptops. Count me for the initiative.

Thanks

Satish,

I think the US $ 219.00 tag is too much of a burden. I recently saw an article
with intel playing a stellar role in such a similar Venture in providing a
siimilar laptops at around $ 100.

But your present project seems to put a lot of pressure on students and
patrons. With a recession on, finding backers will be a big task.

In India, I believe, the onus should be on person to person teaching rather
than gadgets. At a Rs 500 to Rs 1000 salary per month to a local teacher, the
ekal vidyalayas are doing a splendid job in teaching rural children- Harijan,
Adivasi, and Girijan. These gadgets are a help sure. But there is a full
stop. The oral ways of teaching and the perfection of diction and delivery can
only be taught personally.

Your foundation can think of giving one laptop per ekal vidyalaya each at Rs
2,000.00. I will myself sponsor some units.

Harijan Venkat
