"Manusmriti" - When it was written ? for whom ? Was it like Quaran or bible which are not subjected to any revision.
When Independent India was formed, it preferred British kind of PM model instead of American style 'President' model. Dr. Ambedkar himself was the chairman of the constitution draft committee. In spite of that the constitution is revised 100 or more times. Chanakya-Chandragupta pair brought numerous reforms. "Chanakya Neeti" is respected and talked about, but there is no Changragupta; so Chanakya Neeti may not be followed. So if Dr. Manmohan Singh will think that one or more sectios of Chanakya Neeti is not applicable today, you will burn that or amend that after a debate ? Manusmriti, in its current form is nothing but a historical document. I was not knowing that Dr. Ambedkar had burnt Manusmriti. He should have called upon the religious leaders of those time to revise & republish after debate/discourse. Just because one or two sections are not suitable for today's "Democratic" form of society - can you abandon the whole doctrine ? Can you burn 'Quaran' because its Surah 9 is not applicable today, where Muslims are advised to slaughter Kafirs after Ramjan is over ? The caste system was there since 1000s of years. Now, all of a sudden, you adopt a non-religious constitution, dissolve the religious council, give power to politicians to provide social justice in stead of 'religious leaders" - how can you refer Manusmriti at all and denigrate an ancient historical reference book? Either you talk about constitution, Mandal commission, reservation & bring your social justice after 1000 or more years.. Or Give power to 'Sadhus', Shankaracharyas, and all religious leaders and arrange a religious discourse to revise Manusmriti/Chankaya Neeti and adopt them as official document/guideline. This approach will be much faster than to your VP Singh/Lalu/Paswan/Mulayam social justice by reservation method. You can't have both. Mr. "dalit' friends - The above is for you and please don't fall in to traps of Christian/Muslim combine , whose only job is to pick holes and bash the caste system. Don't bash 'Manu' ; bash Manmohan Singh, Bash Naveen Patnaik, who is running away form reforms, bash Dr. Ambedkar as well because he himself opted for non-religious constitution without any provision of a religious advisory council, which later would made all Hindu religious leaders "Power less'. For Christian people Pope is there. For Muslims Sahi Imam is there - both are powerful. But for Hindus, lot of swamis are there but there is no supreme religious council to guide them. There are numorous interpretations and there is no official version 'fatwa' equivalent is possible because there is no religious council. The same is not true in case of Muslim/Christians. When 'Sahi Iman' will issue a fatwa, Manmohan Singh will fall down from chair. But Shankaracjharyas can be arrested by Jayalalithas and Manmohan Singhs/Vajppeyees can enjoy this like an interesting drama. This is our Hindustan, where Hindu religious leaders were made powerless so that no amendment is possible to any of the religious 'doctrines' and yet they are blamed. It may be noted that Manu himself might have revised his own doctrine several times or might have drafted his own doctrine after referring several doctrines of his predecessors;consulting many religious leaders of those times. Muslim terrorism is at PhD stage. Suicide bombers are for sale in Pakistan. Muslim terrorism has killed millions of people, while the nascent alleged Hindu terrorism killed less than 10 Muslims. When Surah-9 of Quaran is officially advise 'Saccha' Muslims to kill Kafirs, if they don't make peace with Muslims, Afzal Guru is not hanged - some patriots might get mad after experiencing consecutive terror attacks upon their motherland. It is equally bad because in later days, India wouldsuffer like Pakistan today. It is not a pleasure but a matter of concern that in Hindustan, Hindus are becoming terrorists because of an incapable Government, who can't hang a convicted traitor terrorist ? Coming to Christians/Conversions. If Jesus told them to convert, he must also cautioned them about their possible consequences;Jesus was crucified. So, I guess missionaries indulged in conversion already know this risk. But, it is unfortunate that ordinary Christian people are becoming victims in stead of cunning missionaries. RSS people must not hurt our own people at any cost even if they are converted Christians. They must investigate properly
